Why the “wild boar?”
THE NAME
A few generations ago, Lindsey’s family, the Bacons, farmed and raised pigs. As such, their family crest prominently featured a very wild looking boar.
Lindsey’s father founded Wild Boar Farm in the 1980s. When they put down roots in Fredericksburg, Texas, the farm and the name came too. Today, we carry on the name “Wild Boar” to honor family—past, present and future—and to grow a legacy of which our children can be proud.
